Biography

Aliette DelPozo Rodz counsels businesses facing legal challenges to compete in the global economy. Whether in court or through alternative resolutions, she aggressively advocates for companies in U.S. and international disputes.

Ms. DelPozo Rodz is a partner in the International Dispute Resolution Group and the Business Litigation Group in the Miami office. She works with U.S. and foreign-based businesses on commercial claims and arbitration cases.

While her litigation experience can be applied to many industries, she has focused on real estate, banking, construction, insurance, professional services and aviation. Legal matters include commercial and residential foreclosures, business disputes, insurance litigation, bank litigation, consumer credit, contract disputes, creditors' rights, ERISA, medical and professional malpractice, landlord-tenant litigation, libel, negligence, and personal injury.

International Litigation

Based in Miami, Ms. Rodz is frequently called on for disputes involving Latin American companies. She represents both international businesses with claims in the U.S., as well as American clients with claims abroad. With experience in all forms of international discovery and Hague Convention procedures, she has also worked on International Chamber of Commerce, or ICC, arbitrations.

Background

Ms. Rodz is a board member of the Zoological Society of South Florida, she is on the Executive Leadership Team of the American Heart and Stroke Association, and is on the Executive Committee of the Women’s Leadership Group of the United Way.  Ms. Rodz is a member of the National Association of Women (NAWL) and of the Cuban-American Bar Association.  She is the Chair and one of the pioneers of the firm’s Focus on Women Group and has made it a goal to support women’s business organizations such as The Commonwealth Institute for Women and Casa Valentina, as well as organizations such as Educate Tomorrow for the betterment of women and children in the Community. 

While at the University of Florida, she was on the executive board of the John Marshall Bar Association and was an active member of the Trial Team.
