Biography

Jennifer Jones is an attorney at Shutts & Bowen’s Miami office, where she practices in the area of Trusts and Estates.  Ms. Jones prepares estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, and living wills.  She counsel charitably inclined clients in establishing and operating private foundations and in structuring gifts to non-profit organizations.  Ms. Jones works with clients in probate and trust administration matters, representing trustees, beneficiaries and creditors of estates. 

Ms. Jones’s experience extends beyond her legal career.  Prior to law school, Ms. Jones was the Director of Planned Giving for one of the nation’s largest public healthcare systems.  In this role, she facilitated immediate gifts and planned gifts within donors’ estate plans.  Ms. Jones, who is a Certified Financial Planner®, worked with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. where she advised clients on financial planning matters, including retirement and transfers of family wealth.  Previously, Ms. Jones was certified as a FINRA/NASD Dispute Resolution Arbitrator and held NASD Series 7 and 65 Licenses.

Ms. Jones has twice been named the Rotarian of the Year by her Rotary Clubs and been active in Rotary’s international exchange programs.  While in law school, she was the founding president of her school’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law student organization.
