Biography

For more than 15 years, Joe Englander has practiced in the area of intellectual property, including patent, trademark, copyright prosecution and litigation.  He prosecutes patents, trademarks and copyright registrations through the appeal process and administers international intellectual property portfolios for his clients.  He also litigates domain name disputes in front of ICANN arbitration panels.  His science and engineering background provides keen insight when he negotiates intellectual property development and licensing agreements.  He frequently participates in intellectual property seminars for in-house counsel and conducts CLE seminars in Intellectual Property Law.

Mr. Englander also was the Food Safety Compliance Administrator/Senior Attorney for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in Tallahassee.   During that time, he was certified in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HAACP) programs and became a Certified Food Manager.  He also implemented and enforced FDA and state regulatory programs regarding labeling and food safety for foods and dietary supplements, and continues to provide compliance programs for his clients today.
