Judith A. Burke

Of Counsel
Biography

With significant experience in jurisdictions covering most of South Florida, Judith (“Judy”) Burke has worked with clients in real estate, land use and zoning for almost 25 years. She is Of Counsel in the  firm's Land Use/Zoning Practice Group.

Experience

The depth of Ms. Burke’s experience has led her to work with clients on many large-scale projects, such as the American Airlines Arena and Island Gardens on Watson Island. She counsels her clients in land use and development, from initial concept to final occupancy. This includes assessing the potential of raw land, providing due diligence services, analyzing zoning regulations, obtaining development approvals, and handling all aspects of the entitlement process. She frequently appears before municipal boards and commissions and has gained approvals for projects throughout the tri-county area.

Such large projects often have regional and environmental impacts that are addressed at the state level. Ms. Burke is experienced here as well and has handled matters involving DRIs, wetlands, coastal construction and other issues overseen by the Department of Community Affairs and the Department of Environmental Protection.

Overall, Ms. Burke counsels clients on the complexities and challenges involved in large-scale development. She has been named to the “Top Women in Commercial Real Estate” by the Florida Real Estate Journal.
