Lauren Sobel is an attorney in Shutts & Bowen's Miami Business Litigation Practice Group, representing clients in complex commercial litigation matters. Ms. Sobel’s practice centers on federal litigation. She routinely defends cases for a national insurance company in federal court, and litigates cases which involve novel areas of trademark and copyright law. Ms. Sobel is also experienced in handling disputes in state court, in areas of law such as real estate, creditors’ rights, and trust and estates.
After graduation from Fordham University School of Law, Ms. Sobel worked as an associate in the business litigation department in the New York office of a large, national law firm. Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, Ms. Sobel was a law clerk for the Honorable Joan A. Lenard, U.S. District Judge in the Southern District of Florida, as well as a law clerk for the Honorable Debra C. Freeman, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of New York.
