Michael L. Gore has practiced in the area of business, commercial and real estate litigation since 1984. He has represented businesses, large and small, financial institutions, developers, government entities, entrepreneurs and other individuals in successfully resolving cases involving contract disputes, creditor’s rights, business torts, insurance coverage, claims of unfair and deceptive trade practices, and a myriad of property rights issues, including commercial landlord/tenant matters. A significant portion of Mr. Gore’s practice includes representation of lending institutions and asset managers in matters related to the collection, foreclosure, and work-out of commercial loans. In addition to the foregoing areas, Mr. Gore represents clients in securities fraud litigation, and has been appointed by the United States District Court as a Receiver in an action brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Gore counsels clients in analyzing problems, negotiating disputes, and utilizing methods of alternative dispute resolution to avoid litigation. As a trial lawyer, he represents clients in both Federal and State court, as well as in arbitration proceedings. Mr. Gore handles matters before the State of Florida Division of Administrative Hearings and various state agencies and has represented clients in investigations by the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Florida and the Federal Trade Commission. He has represented several public officials before the Commission on Ethics for the State of Florida. Mr. Gore has more than 20 years of appellate experience before the State of Florida District Courts of Appeal, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Mr. Gore is a member of the Florida Bar and of the Orange County Bar Association, and in addition to the State Courts of Florida, Mr. Gore is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Gore served for more than 15 years as a member of the Executive Committee (President and Secretary) and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Zoological Society. He has served in the past as Chairman of the Grievance Committee for the Florida Bar, Section 9D.
