Biography

In trusts and estates planning, understanding tax issues is crucial. In this, William Jay Palmer’s experience offers a strong combination: more than 20 years in trusts and estates and an extensive background in tax law. He has counseled clients in protecting assets through planning and litigation.

A partner in the Miami Trusts and Estates Practice Group, Mr. Palmer helps clients plan or contest wills and trusts. From preparation and administration to litigation and appeals, he has experience in all areas of probate. Beneficiaries, trustees and personal representatives throughout Florida rely on his counsel.

Background

Mr. Palmer was an advisor to law students in the Estate Planning Masters Program at the University of Miami School of Law from 1988 through 2000.  He was also an adjunct professor at the school from 1984 through 1994.
