Anthony T. Golden

For domestic clients, Mr. Golden has extensive experience with revocable trusts, family limited partnerships, business succession planning, life insurance trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, trusts for minors, preparation of the federal estate tax return (Form 706), premarital agreements, estate and trust administration and settling family disputes.

For international clients, Mr. Golden assists with pre-immigration tax planning, setting up trusts and corporations in offshore jurisdictions, investment advice for investing in the U.S., estate administration of assets foreign individuals own in the U.S. and preparation of the federal estate tax return for nonresidents (Form 706-NA). In addition, Mr. Golden has extensive experience with the foreign trust rules and rehabilitating foreign trusts to minimize taxes for foreign individuals becoming residents of the U.S.

Mr. Golden often assists clients with the preparation of real estate contracts and closings. He also sets up various forms of corporate entities and acts as general counsel to a number of clients’ corporations.

Mr. Golden is a frequent lecturer on tax, estate planning and investment topics. Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, Mr. Golden practiced with a firm in Vero Beach, Florida. He also formerly worked in Chicago, Illinois and Osaka, Japan. Mr. Golden is a coach to his sons’ youth league baseball teams and is an avid sports fan. He and his family reside in Coral Gables.
