With his knowledge of creditors' rights issues, Lee Mackson handles large cases for clients that rely on his analysis and strategic thinking. Mr. Mackson is a litigation partner and Chairman of the Complex Loan Workout and Creditors' Rights/Bankruptcy Practice Groups in the firm's Miami office.
Experience
With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Mackson advises clients in a variety of complex business disputes. From workout attempts to commercial foreclosures and trials, he counsels clients in ways to resolve issues in court, arbitration or negotiation. He has also appeared before the United States Supreme Court.
Although he works within various industries, he focuses on serving financial institutions in real estate and banking litigation. He represents numerous multi-state lenders and special servicers, including the handling of multi-million dollar commercial foreclosures. These cases often involve receiverships and rent sequestrations. He is also involved in complex workout negotiations.
In related work, Mr. Mackson was retained as an expert witness on Florida real estate litigation in a case pending in South Africa. He is a frequent author on commercial foreclosure issues and speaks on that topic around the country.
Mr. Mackson was also appointed by the President of The Florida Bar to a Florida Bar Grievance Committee, where he served for six years.
