Eric C. Reed

A member of the Orlando Business Litigation Practice Group, Mr. Reed helps prosecute and/or defend banks, creditors and other companies in financially-related cases. He also works for plaintiffs or defendants in disputes involving the automotive industry.

Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, Mr. Reed gained trial experience as an Assistant State Attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orange County, Florida. Before attending law school, he was a Territory Manager for a national consumer product company. This post helped him gain an understanding of corporate management and sales as he directed operations in the State of Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, while hiring and supervising a team of 30 merchandisers.

A graduate of Barry University, Mr. Reed is Vice President of the school's Alumni Association and is on the board of advisors for the school as well.  During law school, he served as Vice President of the Law Student Division of the Orange County Bar Association, and held various leadership positions with the Student Bar Association. Currently, Mr. Reed serves as a Board Member for the Orange County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section.
