Tania V. Sotelo is an attorney in Shutts & Bowen’s Miami office, where she practices in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group. Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, Ms. Sotelo practiced at a boutique tax/trusts & estates law firm in New Jersey and was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the District of New Jersey.
For several years, Ms. Sotelo has performed volunteer work for the Peruvian American Medical Society, a philanthropic organization, both in the United States and on medical missions to Perú, serving as an administrator and translator on multiple missions. Ms. Sotelo is also a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars. She is proficient in Spanish.
Ms. Sotelo received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 1999, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter Journal. She received her B.A. in English from Rutgers College in 1995.
