Raul J. Salas, a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen, focuses his practice in international tax and business planning. Mr. Salas is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida (1978) and was previously employed as Tax Manager with the international accounting firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche).
A significant portion of Mr. Salas' practice involves representing and advising clients with respect to their United States investments and related United States income and estate tax planning matters. Mr. Salas also represents numerous United States and foreign corporations and individuals in international transactions, investments and joint ventures.
Mr. Salas has authored various articles on international income and estate tax planning and has made numerous presentations on these and other tax and business matters to various professional associations and client groups.
