As an experienced real estate partner in one of the most competitive property markets in the region, Daniel O'Keefe is adept at removing road blocks for builders and developers. He handles real estate and land use issues ranging from facilitating loans and expediting government approvals, to dealing with regulatory agencies and handling concurrency issues. Co-Chairman of the firm's Orlando Real Estate Department, he focuses on large-scale projects for developers and home builders, both local and national. He also works with hotels and restaurants in the region.
Having focused on Central Florida real estate for many years, Mr. O'Keefe has helped clients weather changes in the market and pursue new concepts in development. His knowledge of the region and the industry was recognized by Governor Jeb Bush, who appointed Mr. O'Keefe to the Board of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council. In his practice, Mr. O'Keefe handles a broad range of development and land use issues for large-scale developments that are multi-family or multi-use. This includes school concurrency, which he handles by seeking advance funding of school construction. He also counsels hotels and restaurants through the challenges of financing, acquisitions, joint ventures and development. Mr. O’Keefe actively supports several business and political groups in the area. In addition to serving as president of the West Orange Political Alliance, a political action committee representing its community, Dan is an active member of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior to the Wekiva River System Advisory Management Committee and is on the Board of Directors for the Smart Growth Alliance.
