Highly experienced in estate planning and taxation, David Gart helps clients reach their goals and protect their financial interests. He offers a unique set of skills, based on broad business experience and a background in accounting. A partner in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group, he also negotiates business and real estate transactions.
Experience
With nearly 30 years of experience, Mr. Gart advises clients on estate planning, probate, taxation and real estate. He is particularly skilled at foreign estate planning for those who are non-residents or non-citizens, including entrepreneurs, executives and other individuals. He works with clients throughout the state and offers extensive knowledge in trusts, such as charitable, life insurance and qualified domestic trusts, as well as gift and income tax matters.
As a former certified public accountant, Mr. Gart also lends his accounting experience to help companies resolve their business transactions. He has represented a real estate investment trust for several years, for example, and has negotiated and closed deals for many others in business and real estate.
Mr. Gart also frequently lectures on estate planning and financial topics.
Community Involvement
Mr. Gart serves on planned giving committees of various local charitable organizations, including the Weizmann Institute of Science. He is also active in community service organizations such as Boca Helping Hands and the Kantor Center for Family Justice and is on the Board of Trustees at Congregation B'nai Israel.
