Biography

Jason Williams is a partner in Shutts & Bowen's Orlando office, where he is a member of the firm's Real Estate Practice Group.   Mr. Williams represents developers in negotiating and drafting documents for the purchase, sale, leasing, financing and development of real estate.  He has represented banks in commercial, construction and development loan transactions.  His experience also includes the representation of developers of timeshares, condominiums, bundled communities with extensive golf and recreational amenities.  Mr. Williams has structured, documented and implemented private membership clubs for marinas, golf courses and beach clubs for developments throughout Florida.

Background

Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, Mr. Williams served as Associate General Counsel to American Leisure Holdings, Inc. where he provided advice and counsel regarding all aspects of the company's real estate holdings and development activities.

Mr. Williams is a graduate of Florida State University College of Law, where he graduated with the highest honors and was ranked second in his graduating class.  While at the Florida State University College of Law, he was a member of the Florida State University Law Review and the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy and received jurisprudence book awards in Real Estate Transactions, Land Use Regulation, Legal Writing, Creditors Rights, Remedies and Criminal Law.  He received his bachelor's degree in Communication, magna cum laude, from Florida State University.
