With more than 30 years in practice, Mr. de Armas lends his considerable experience to clients in banking, corporate and securities law, as well as real estate finance and transactions. He has a strong reputation for structuring and negotiating complex mergers and acquisitions, including acquisitions of financial institutions, leveraged transactions and international transactions. He has also been involved in a wide range of securities offerings and transactions, including public offerings, offshore offerings and hotel/condominium offerings. Many foreign institutions rely on him to represent their investments and operations in the United States.
Background
Based on his range of experience, Mr. de Armas has published several articles and lectured on international banking, foreign investment in the United States, real estate syndication and securities offerings.
Mr. de Armas received his J.D. from Duke University, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Duke Law Journal. He was born in Havana, Cuba, and has lived in South Florida since 1960.
