With Fortune 500 clients and a practice that is national in scope, Rosemary Dailey offers her immigration law experience to companies hiring foreign nationals for temporary or permanent work. She counsels clients on employment-related immigration issues and helps with the relocation of highly skilled workers, such as professional athletes and other uniquely skilled personnel, to the U.S. Having practiced in Washington, D.C. for seven years, she has worked closely with the range of governmental agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security. A partner in the firm’s West Palm Beach office, Ms. Dailey’s clients include horse farms, polo teams and players.
Experience
Clients call on Ms. Dailey for her efficient handling of immigration matters involving visas, PERM applications, relocation, compliance and related employment law issues. She helps clients secure temporary and permanent work authorizations for foreign national workers in various industries, including financial services, biotechnology and other scientific fields, universities, construction and government contracting. In one example, she helped a world-renowned cancer drug researcher gain permanent residency in the U.S.
Ms. Dailey also advises her clients on workforce compliance issues, including I-9 compliance, and is experienced at counseling companies through government audits. Her knowledge of employment law is an added asset in drafting and reviewing corporate immigration policies.
Background
Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, Ms. Dailey practiced immigration law with the law firm of Venable LLP in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is one of the only lawyers in her field who has studied the impact of 9/11 on immigration law. She wrote a lengthy chapter for Matthew Bender & Company and the LexisNexis Group on the impact of 9/11 on U.S. immigration law and how the U.S. CIS has been encompassed by the Department of Homeland Security.
