Biography

Paul L. SanGiovanni is a partner in the Orlando Litigation Department and is Board Certified in Construction Law.  Mr. SanGiovanni has more than 20 years of experience in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis in construction law, including construction contract preparation and negotiation, construction lien foreclosures, delay claims, and design/construction defect claims, including disputes involving problems resulting in mold and mildew in buildings. He has represented numerous contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, sureties, public and private owners and theme parks in all aspects of construction litigation, litigation avoidance, bid protests, contract negotiations, licensing and other construction issues.

In 2004, Mr. SanGiovanni was included in the inaugural edition of Florida Trend Magazine's "Legal Elite," a peer-ranked survey of the top 1.6% of all lawyers in the State of Florida.

Mr. SanGiovanni is a past President of the Orange County Bar Association, which has a membership of over 3,000 Central Florida attorneys and judges.  Mr. SanGiovanni also served as President of the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, which is a nationally renowned non-profit organization serving the legal needs of children and the poor.  In addition, Mr. SanGiovanni is an active member of several professional and legal organizations serving the construction industry and commercial clients.

Mr. SanGiovanni is currently appointed to serve as the Diocesan Attorney to the Diocese of Orlando for matters pertaining to construction contracting, construction litigation as well as litigation defense in matters relating to personal injury claims and other torts.  Mr. SanGiovanni also serves as construction counsel to several owners and contractors throughout Florida.
