Coming from a citrus family with deep roots in Central Florida, Chadwick (“Chad”) Crews is a sixth-generation Floridian. He uses his knowledge of the local market and experience in real estate to help companies buy, sell or develop land throughout the area. An attorney in the Orlando Real Estate Practice Group, he works primarily with single- and multi-family home developers.
Mr. Crews focuses on the transactions involved in real estate development, including acquisitions, sales, land use matters, water management district and zoning issues. On a recent project, he served the land owners of a 2,000-acre community that includes residential and commercial property. His work involved contract negotiations, capacity enhancement agreements, drafting complex cooperation agreements between land owners, and other matters.
Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, he was an attorney with the Department of Children & Families in Brevard County and Orlando.
