Juli James is a partner in Shutts & Bowen's Orlando office, where she is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. She has devoted her practice to the areas of real estate transactions, land use and development. She has handled numerous transactions involving the representation of institutional clients, developers and individuals in the negotiation and closing of land sales and acquisitions, commercial leasing, shopping center leasing, real estate financing and the development of residential subdivisions, shopping centers, multi-family projects and mixed-use projects. Ms. James also has experience representing institutional corporate and developer clients in connection with land use, zoning, permitting, environmental and regulatory issues.
While at Florida State University College of Law, she served as the executive editor of the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy.
