Lee Nelson heads the Real Estate Group in Shutts & Bowen’s Tampa Office. He routinely negotiates, structures and closes a variety of complex transactional matters, including: the sale and acquisition of improved property, such as Class A office buildings, shopping centers and industrial parks; the acquisition, financing and development of multi-phased and mixed-use projects; development joint ventures; office, retail and industrial leases; master project permitting and entitlements, including annexations, development agreements and environmental resource permits; representation of national banks and other financial Institutions in construction and working capital lending, as well as debt restructuring; corporate asset sales, acquisition and finance; and other sophisticated business matters for a variety of New York Stock Exchange and closely-held companies and multinational, national and local developers.

Mr. Nelson is a regular guest speaker at conferences in his areas of practice.
Recognition
Mr. Nelson received the Hillsborough County Bar’s Pro Bono Community Counsel Award, he is recognized as one of 2007 Florida Super Lawyers, and was also honored with the Nehemiah Award for Distinguished Community Service.
