Having focused on real estate and title insurance for many years, Barbara Richardson knows property titles inside and out. Although she has a background in litigation, she now handles transactions and uses her trial experience to minimize risks for clients. She also resolves claims for title insurance companies and handles any transactional issues. Of Counsel to the firm, Ms. Richardson is based in the West Palm Beach office.
Experience
Ms. Richardson has developed a strong reputation for her skill in handling real estate and title insurance issues. She works with owners of both residential and commercial properties and serves title insurance companies around the State of Florida.
With her previous experience as a litigator, she is able to anticipate potential problems and act against them. She also works on resolving claims, drafting pleadings, advising other attorneys and handling the transactional issues of various insurance cases.
In her practice, Ms. Richardson serves as an agent for Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc., Commonwealth Land Title Company, First American Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Stewart Title Guaranty Company and Chicago Title Insurance Company.
In addition, Ms. Richardson prepares and negotiates leases for polo and hunter/jumper barns, residential/barn leases for seasonal rentals during WEF (Winter Equestrian Festival), drafts trainer-owner board and training contracts, and contracts and bills of sale for horse purchases. A long time equestrienne, she currently rides and shows her German bred Westphalen gelding and is learning to play polo.
