Biography

Jennifer Slone Tobin is a partner in Shutts & Bowen’s Orlando office, where she is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.  She is Florida Bar Board Certified in Real Estate Law.

Ms. Tobin represents developers and owners in negotiating and drafting documents and approvals for the purchase, sale, leasing, financing and development of real estate.   She has devoted significant time to her representation of The Burnham Institute, in connection with the development of its new facility in the Lake Nona development and its negotiations with the City of Orlando, Orange County and Lake Nona.  She also represents lenders in loan workouts, as well as in commercial, construction, development and residential loan transactions, and has been involved in multiple complex loan portfolio workouts. Her experience also includes the representation of developers, underwriters and credit enhancers in multi-housing bond financing transactions for projects located in a variety of venues throughout the country. 

Ms. Tobin is an active member of the Orlando community, where her family has lived since 1978.  She is a past Chairman of the Development Review Committee of the Downtown Development Board, and a past President of the Board of Directors for the Downtown Orlando Partnership.  In addition, she is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women and the Central Florida Real Estate Council.
