Belinda Banick received her B.A. from Rollins College in 1977. She obtained her Paralegal Certificate from The National Center for Paralegal Training in Atlanta, Georgia in December 1977 wherein she specialized in the field of civil litigation.
Ms. Banick has been a litigation paralegal since January 1978. Her extensive experience as a litigation paralegal has encompassed areas including personal injury, medical malpractice, asbestos, general defense litigation, complex commercial litigation, products liability, banking, disability insurance, sports disability and ERISA.
Ms. Banick’s experience also includes trial preparation and attendance; formulating written discovery; preparing responses to Interrogatories, Requests for Production and Requests for Admissions; attending depositions; preparation of privilege logs; investigative research into locating witnesses; preparation of witness and exhibit lists; medical research; reviewing discovery responses and documents produced and preparing summaries thereof; preparing outlines of proposed future discovery; preparing subpoenas and addenda of documents to be produced; reviewing and summarizing depositions; preparation of chronologies and timelines of events; Westlaw and legal research; internet research; drafting of motions, affidavits and legal memoranda; organization and indexing of documents; preparation of correspondence, memoranda and status/report letters; scheduling discovery responses for timely filing/serving and arranging for production of documents; inspection, review for privilege and cataloging of documents in preparation for document production; participation in document productions and preparation of summaries of documents produced in complex litigation cases; maintenance of litigation docket system; responsibilities of client and witness interviews; review of medical records; recommendations for investigations; searches of public records.
