Cynthia Benavides received her B.A. from Florida Atlantic University in 2000. Ms. Benavides has over 10 years of experience working on litigation matters, including complex commercial litigation, insurance defense, construction litigation, criminal defense litigation, USA PATRIOT Act and Bank Secrecy Act litigation, governmental procurements, immigration and bankruptcy matters. Ms. Benavides has assisted in preparing and conducting trials in both Federal Court and State Court.
Ms. Benavides works with members of the Litigation, Bankruptcy and Immigration Law Practice Groups in the Fort Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP.
Ms. Benavides was registered with The Florida Bar as a Florida Registered Paralegal in 2008, is a member of the Paralegal Association of Florida, a State of Florida Notary Public and fluent in Spanish.
