Aviation
As Shutts & Bowen has grown and expanded throughout Florida, we have seen the state become home to a large share of the aviation industry. Facilities range from corporate jet leasing firms and flight simulators to major international airports, two Air Force bases and NASA's Kennedy Space Center. All call Florida home and all contribute to growth in the nation's aviation and aerospace industry.
Our extensive experience in finance, corporate law and creditors' rights led to a deeper involvement in the aviation industry. What first began as finance work on corporate aircraft purchases and leases, has evolved to representing airlines, service companies, aircraft owners, suppliers and vendors for airlines. Issues range from airline and code sharing agreements to insurance and defense litigation to advice on Florida jet fuel lien law. We also help international clients gain access rights and do business in the U.S. and foreign markets.
We play a key role in helping clients compete and expand, while navigating regulatory hurdles. To confront these challenges, we support our aviation attorneys with a powerful team of experienced counselors from within the firm. Together, they tackle issues in aviation and related areas, including finance, insurance, creditors' rights, litigation, employment, immigration, government, and international law.
