Orlando Partners Tapped by Governor Crist

On March 6, 2008 Shutts & Bowen Real Estate Practice Group Co-Chair, Daniel T. O’Keefe, was one of 21 members representing businesses, environmental groups, government and academics appointed by Governor Charlie Crist to The Governor’s Action Team on Energy and Climate Change. In July 2007, Governor Crist issued a set of goals to cut greenhouse emissions in the State of Florida. The Action Team is charged with developing ideas for cutting those emissions and diversifying the State’s energy resources.
On Monday, March 10, 2008 Governor Crist chose Michael J. “Micky” Grindstaff to fill a vacated seat on the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees. Mr. Grindstaff is also Co-Chair of Shutts & Bowen’s Orlando Real Estate Practice Group and is a 1978 graduate of UCF. The post requires Senate confirmation.
