Shutts & Bowen Elects Seven Partners

The Law Firm of Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce the election of seven new partners at its recent annual meeting.
Ryan Bailine is a member of the Land Use Practice Group. He handles development projects throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Mr. Bailine guides developers, property owners and entrepreneurs through the land use approval and entitlement process and regularly appears before local government boards and regulatory agencies to resolve zoning, permitting and similar complex land use problems. Mr. Bailine received his J.D. from the University of Miami in 2002.
John Bustard is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in business litigation and has handled a variety of cases, including constitutional and state tort claims, unfair trade practice actions, foreclosure defense actions, complex business litigation, and class certification issues. Mr. Bustard practiced in New York before moving to Florida in 2002. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law.
David J. Coviello is a member of the Land Use Practice Group. He handles a wide variety of complex land use matters for developers and owners of commercial property. Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, Mr. Coviello practiced at a land use and zoning firm in Connecticut and also previously served as law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. He is a 1999 graduate of Vermont Law School.
Andrew S. Eitingon is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group. He represents clients in real estate development, including acquisition, sale, lease, financing, easement rights, land use and zoning. Clients include developers and owners of commercial and residential property. Prior to joining Shutts & Bowen, Mr. Eitingon practiced real estate and corporate law in Los Angeles, California. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001.
R. Gavin Mackinnon is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group where he handles complex commercial and civil litigation matters with an emphasis on real estate and land use disputes, contract disputes, civil liability and construction lien and defect claims. He is an experienced trial attorney with more than ten years of experience. He received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1998 and practiced in Illinois before returning to Florida in 2000.
Glennys Ortega Rubin is a member of the Labor and Employment Practice Group. Ms. Rubin has wide-ranging litigation experience, including commercial litigation, insurance defense and consumer collections. She primarily represents business and commercial entities with an emphasis on labor and employment law. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Florida College of Law.
David A. Shontz is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group, representing clients including Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, governmental entities and individuals to guide them through business disputes, negotiations, complex jury trials and diverse legal actions. He focuses on complex civil litigation matters involving contracts, eminent domain, real estate disputes, environmental, construction claims, insurance matters and other commercial litigation matters. He received his J.D. from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2002.
