- We have experience in corporate structure and restructuring hospitals and other health care facilities, including multi entity systems.
- We counsel and represent hospitals in controversies before administrative agencies and courts.
- We provide strategic tax planning advice and expertise, particularly in controversial areas, to health care clients involved in mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, redemptions, liquidations and corporate reorganizations.
- We are a recognized bond counsel and regularly work with health facilities authorities, hospitals, hospital districts, counties and municipalities in connection with tax exempt and conventional financings.
- We act as counsel to underwriters of both tax exempt and taxable securities and have been retained as special counsel to various banks, other financial institutions and financial consultants.
- We counsel hospitals, as well as physicians, physician organizations and medical staffs, on a host of issues involving such matters as credentialing, contracting, peer review, medical staff privileges and discipline, bylaws, PHOs, professional office and clinical facilities.
- We have experience in insurance claims work, antitrust, disciplinary procedures, medical staff disputes and a variety of employment matters.
- We represent clients in labor contract negotiations and arbitration and provides counsel regarding corporate strategy in the area of employee relations. Clients are regularly represented in EEOC, Title VII, OSHA, ADA, unemployment compensation, and wage and hour matters.
- We have experience in patient care issues, including risk management, and claims defense, and have prepared policies for treating patients with AIDS and other diseases and conditions requiring sensitive and unique care and treatment.
- We have acted as counsel in almost every major Florida decision on withholding and withdrawal of life prolonging procedures
