Shutts & Bowen’s Aviation Practice Group offers a comprehensive range of aviation related legal services. The members of this group have a varied background and experience, which provides our aviation clients with efficient, practical legal representation.
Our experience includes advising clients on issues relating to aircraft leasing and purchase agreements, code sharing agreements, fixed base operations, trademarks, airline and interline agreements, airport privatizations, airline labor issues including the Railway Labor Act, airline purchase agreements, governmental relations, cargo loss, shareholder and partnership agreements, joint ventures, computer software licensing agreements, review and overhaul of aviation regulatory regimes, and airport properties and facilities agreements. In addition, we have considerable experience with immigration issues involving airlines, including both passenger and personnel problems.
Our litigation experience includes representation in both state and federal court involving such issues as aircraft financing and leasing transactions, aircraft gate rights, contract actions, employment and labor, insurance coverage, cargo loss, defense litigation and intellectual property litigation. We are also experienced in civil litigation including matters arising under federal aviation legislation and registrations, Uniform Commercial Code, and securities and intellectual property laws.
