Shutts & Bowen Names Six Partners

The Law Firm of Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce the naming of six  partners at its recent annual meeting.

Matthew R. Chait represents financial institutions, corporations and other businesses both in and out of court.  He handles a wide variety of commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on real estate litigation and frequently represents financial institutions, non-institutional lenders and special servicers in complex commercial foreclosures and suits on loan guaranties. Mr. Chait is Co-Chairman of the Lawyers Have Heart 5K Run, which benefits the American Heart Association.   He received his J.D. from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law.

Alberto Delgado a member of the Real Estate Department, where he represents clients in a wide variety of real estate transactions, with a particular focus in representing lenders and borrowers in complex commercial real estate financing.   Mr. Delgado was named a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyer in 2009 and 2010.  He  is active in the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Cuba Committee and CHARLEE Homes for Children.  Mr. Delgado is a graduate of University of Florida School of Law.

Tiffany DiIorio is a member of the Creditors' Rights/Bankruptcy Practice Group.  Her practice involves trustee representation, business bankruptcy, creditors' rights litigation and commercial litigation.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. DiIorio served as judicial intern for Chief Judge Paul Glenn, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida.  She is active in the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers.  Ms. DiIorio receive her J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law.

Daniela Fonseca is a member of the International Dispute Resolution Group.  Her knowledge of the civil law system and foreign legal and cultural issues have been valuable in attending to foreign clients' needs in the United States and domestic clients' internationally related matters.   Ms. Fonseca is active in the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce.  She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Nova Southeastern Law School.

Robin Henderson Leavengood  practices in the firm's Construction and Litigation Practice Groups.  She represents businesses in a wide range of commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters, with a particular focus on construction industry clients.  She also assists a major pharmacy company with its commercial litigation nationwide.  She received her J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida School of Law.

Amanda G. Simmons concentrates her practice in construction litigation and equine law.  In addition to preparing complaints, briefs, motions, legal memoranda and advocating in court, she has experience drafting stock and asset purchase agreements and other corporate documents.  She has developed a national reputation as an equine attorney and represents nationally acclaimed and international clients in both litigation and transactional matters.  In addition to representing developers, contractors and suppliers through all stages of dispute resolution, she is the Chair of the firm’s Equine Law Group.  Ms. Simmons was voted as one of Orlando's "Top 40 Under 40" by the Orlando Business Journal.   She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Law.
