Shutts & Bowen’s 2023 Summer Associates participated in the annual SFALP Summer Associate Volunteer Event held on Friday, June 9, in Key Biscayne, Fla.
Organized by the South Florida Association for Law Placement (SFALP) and hosted by VolunteerCleanup.Org, attendees arrived at Hobie Island Beach Park in Key Biscayne ready to participate in cleaning Florida’s beaches for World Oceans Day Beach Cleanup.
Representing Shutts were several of the firm’s Summer Associates, including Julia Campanella, Ryan Eaton, Shiza Francis, Tah’jai Graves, Elyse Jackson, Sydney Moran, Leila Oberschall, Noah Rust, Keegan Stinnett, Kimberly Taulbee, Jack Whelan and Carrie Williams. Martha Probst, Director of Attorney Recruiting, also participated in the event.
The volunteer event is one of many activities organized as part of Shutts’ Summer Associate Program. The firm’s program is designed to provide an intellectually challenging and professionally gratifying experience for law students. The students take part in firm-sponsored social events and community service projects throughout the summer in addition to attending client meetings, depositions, court hearings and other proceedings.
