Shelly Wald Speaks at NBI Seminar on The Probate Process

January, 2008 - Shelly Wald, a member of Shutts & Bowen’s Trusts & Estates Department, recently spoke at a National Business Institute Seminar on The Probate Process From Start To Finish.  Ms. Wald spoke on the role and duties of the personal representative during the probate process as well as on how to the personal representative can manage an estate effectively.  She also spoke on spousal rights during the probate process including the spouse’s rights to exempt property and the elective share and the process for obtaining these benefits.  More than fifty attorneys and other related professionals in the field of estate planning were in attendance.

Ms. Wald works with individuals and families of high net worth and is one of a limited number of Florida attorneys who is Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates, by the Florida Bar.  She focuses exclusively on estate planning and trust and estate administration in Shutts & Bowen's West Palm Beach office, and has broad experience in this field.
