Our experience in the area of SEC receiverships - such as the one recently instituted by the SEC against the Stanford entities – is extensive. It includes:
- Serving as both the Receiver and counsel for the Receiver in an SEC receivership in Central Florida;
- Serving on the Steering Committees in SEC receiverships in South Florida involving Pension Fund of America and ESM Government Securities where we represented the pension fund for the Guatemalan military and a municipality in Texas;
- Representing investors in the Premium Sales and Mutual Benefit receiverships;
- Representing customers in the Refco Capital Markets, Ltd. Bankruptcy;
- Representing both private investors and financial institutions in other securities fraud litigation;
- Representing New York Stock Exchange public companies and individuals in class actions and other securities fraud litigation;
- Representing major securities firms, other financial services institutions, and brokers in NASD/FINRA arbitration and in court proceedings;
- Representing clients in SEC and FINRA enforcement actions.
