Laura C. Douglas is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Class Action and Mass Litigation Practice Group. Laura is an experienced litigator who defends complex, first party coverage disputes with a focus on Florida claims against out of state automobile insurance policies. She also is called upon to consult with adjusters and attorneys concerning defense of personal injury protection claims against Florida automobile polices being litigated in other states.
Prior to focusing on coverage disputes at Shutts, Laura represented professionals, businesses and officers & directors at trial and on appeal, in disputes including commercial foreclosure, malpractice, RICO, fiduciary duty, trade secret and partnership disputes. She also conducted focused investigations of insurance claims involving issues of forgery and fraud.
