Miami attorney Elizabeth Herr was recently appointed as a member of University of Miami’s Planned Giving Advisory Board and Adrienne Arsht Center’s Planned Giving Advisory Council.
The University of Miami Planned Giving Advisory Board serves as ambassadors for the University in the community. The Board strives to increase understanding of the University’s mission and need for philanthropic support and share expertise in estate and charitable gift planning matters as a resource for Office of Estate and Gift Planning staff, University prospects, and donors.
The Adrienne Arsht Center Planned Giving Advisory Council connects donors to the Arsht Center to explore their passions and leave a lasting legacy. The Advisory Council works with donors and their professional advisors to maximize the benefits of their giving by leveraging estate planning, tax, and financial expertise.
About Elizabeth A. Herr
Elizabeth A. Herr is an Associate in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Private Client Services Practice Group. Elizabeth focuses her practice on tax and estate planning for domestic and international clients. She has experience drafting suites of foundational and advanced planning instruments (including ILITs) and administering and terminating trusts. Elizabeth also conducts sophisticated tax research and has previously drafted tax planning and tax risk memos for clients. Further, she assists with real property and dissolution of marriage issues as they interact with estate planning. Elizabeth is a member of both the Real Property, Probate, Trust Law Section and the Tax Section of the Florida Bar. She is also a member of the Coral Gables Estate Planning Council.
