James Timko, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, was recently named to the board of directors of the Children’s Home Society’s Central Florida Region.
Established in 1902, Children’s Home Society of Florida is the oldest and largest statewide organization devoted to helping children and families. With a mission to end the need for foster care by working with children and families before crises occur, the organization serves more than 59,000 individuals each year. The services offered to individuals range form child welfare and early childhood services to counseling, community partnership, mentoring, outreach and job training programs. James will work in cooperation with the other members of the board to continue to create opportunities for children and families so that they may rise above challenges and realize their full potential.
