Sean Smith, a business litigation partner in the West Palm Beach office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, has been selected to serve on the University of Florida Levin College of Law’s Law Alumni Council (LAC). New LAC members were selected from a distinguished list of UF Law alumni to serve and support their law school.
The LAC was founded in 1983 and focuses on three strategic objectives in its role of supporting UF Law – alumni relations, campus outreach and membership. The LAC helps recruit the best and brightest students, encouraging the hiring of UF Law graduates, promoting alumni networking throughout the Gator nation, and assisting with fundraising for the law school’s strategic priorities.
Sean will serve a 5-year term concluding in 2027.

Sean Smith is a partner in the West Palm Beach Office of Shutts & Bowen, where he is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Sean focuses his practice on the areas of business, real estate, and construction litigation. Sean regularly represents clients in courts throughout Florida in a variety complex litigation matters. Sean was awarded the Pro Bono Certificate while attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law. For his service to the university, Sean was inducted into the University of Florida Hall of Fame.
