Shutts & Bowen LLP Partner James Timko served as a Moderator for the ‘What’s Brewing’ live panel at Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) Southeast Regional Conference. Guiding panelists who serve as experts in the craft brewery industry, James led the discussion on the challenges and travails of the booming business.
The ‘What’s Brewing’ panel focused on the “regulatory and capital challenges facing craft breweries,” including legal and financial challenges, restructuring, requirements for long-term success and the unique considerations in the operational and financial turnaround of breweries. The 2019 TMA Southeast Regional Conference took place in Asheville, North Carolina, and attracted approximately 200 professionals from across the region who specialize in assisting troubled companies.
As a member of the 2019 Southeast Regional Conference Planning Committee and Chair of the Education Committee, James not only moderated the education panel, but also organized and introduced all of the educational sessions over the course of the conference, enabling CPE and CLE credit opportunities to the participating attendees. Shutts & Bowen proudly contributed to the conference as a sponsor of the event.
