Theresa M. McDowell is a Senior Associate in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group.
Theresa advises clients in a broad range of business and real estate matters, as well as commercial transactions involving the sale, purchase, financing and use of real property. She has experience with homeowner association structure, formation and governance for residential communities, including complex master planned communities. She represents clients with condominium and homeowner association statutory compliance issues, including "transition of association control," development obligations and liability issues.
Theresa is further experienced in preparing, reviewing and negotiating contracts, closing documents, association governing documents, license and use agreements, easements and deeds.
Her previous experience includes disputes in civil and administrative courts, as well as collections and covenant enforcement proceedings on behalf of homeowner and condominium associations.
