Michael Patrick Kaney is an Associate in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Business Litigation practice group.

Michael’s practice focuses on complex business, construction, and administrative litigation matters. Michael represents businesses and individuals in disputes involving commercial litigation, commercial and residential landlord/tenant litigation, commercial collections and lien foreclosures.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University (magna cum laude) where he was President of the Florida State University Moot Court and Staff Editor of the Florida State University Law Review. Michael earned book awards in Civil Procedure, Family Law, Employment Law, and Criminal Law. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a summer associate in the firm’s Orlando and Tallahassee offices.
