Cameron Parks to Speak on Intellectual Property Law

Cameron Parks, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, will give an intellectual property law presentation during the American Association of Dental Editors and Journalist’s (AADEJ) annual meeting, on October 5, 2023.

The AADEJ annual meeting takes place in conjunction with SmileCon, the American Dental Association’s annual meeting. During the Smilecon meeting, AADEJ is having a day of hour-long seminars on topics that interest dental writers and editors. During these lectures, Cameron will present “A Survey of Intellectual Property – the Protection of Ideas and Original Work” to attendees. Throughout her presentation, Cameron will offer perspective as an intellectual property lawyer to familiarize dental editors with intellectual property issues, common pitfalls, as well as new trends and issues in the field. She will also discuss preventative measures and legal protections, as well as the evolving problem of artificial intelligence.

AADEJ 2023 will take place on Oct. 4–5 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The American Association of Dental Editors and Journalists (AADEJ) was chartered in 1931 and is composed of dedicated people specifically interested in improving communication within the dental profession and in elevating the standards of dental journalism. The organization is committed to the establishment and encouragement of responsible editorial policy.
