Amy Wessel Jones presents Nuts and Bolts of Appellate PracticeOn February 2, Fort Lauderdale partner Amy Wessel Jones presented a two-hour continuing legal education course entitled “Nuts and Bolts of Appellate Practice” for Florida Legal Services, Inc. and Legal Aid organizations throughout the State of Florida.  The presentation covered preservation of error at the trial level, appellate jurisdiction, and other keys to a successful appeal.

Florida Legal Services is a statewide leader in advancing economic, social, and racial justice.  The organization advocates for poor, vulnerable, and hard to reach people through impact litigation, legislative and administrative advocacy, education, and strategic partnerships.

About Amy Wessel Jones

Amy Wessel Jones is a Partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Appellate Practice Group. She represents clients in a wide range of appellate and litigation matters involving commercial disputes, business torts, and real-property litigation. She also provides pre-trial and trial support to litigators, assisting in the development of legal arguments and ensuring that all steps necessary to preserve issues for appellate review are taken.
