
Shutts & Bowen LLP Tampa attorney Carolina Saavedra was recently featured as a speaker during the National Business Institute’s (NBI) Construction Insurance and Indemnification Boot Camp webinar on May 13th, 2026.
The CLE-credited course focused on the multiple layers of risks in construction projects, and how minor mistakes with insurance, indemnity, or bonds could lead to disputes and client exposure.
Carolina’s presentation, “Indemnification Provisions in Construction Contracts,” discussed types of indemnity, triggers and scope, issues with validity and legality, including statutory limits on indemnity. She addressed bonds and how they interact with indemnity clauses, Limits, Restrictions and Enforceability Issues.
