Shutts & Bowen LLP Sarasota partner Charla Burchett was recently appointed Secretary of the Foundation Board for Easterseals of Southwest Florida. Her term began on January 01, 2026, and continues through December 31, 2027.

Charla has served as a member of the Easterseals of Southwest Florida Foundation Board of Directors since 2023 and has been involved with the organization for over 20 years. In her new role, she will support the Foundation Board by keeping meeting minutes, maintaining organization records and governing documents, and facilitating communication efforts between the Foundation Board and the Board of Trustees. Working collaboratively with fellow Foundation Board members, Charla will help guide strategic efforts that support Easterseals’ mission to empower individuals with disabilities of all ages to live full, independent lives and become engaged members of their communities.
