Ella Shenhav Awarded “Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Lawyer” by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit

Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that Tampa partner Ella Shenhav was honored as the recipient of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit’s 2021 award for “Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Lawyer.”

Ella, who is regularly recognized for her dedication to pro bono services in the community, was presented with the “Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Lawyer” award at the Annual Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Service Awards Ceremony, on May 27, 2021. The award, presented by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee and the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Bay Area Legal Services, was in recognition of her leadership roles and the hundreds of hours that Ella has dedicated to a variety of pro bono organizations over the years, including Project H.E.L.P., Bay Area Legal Services and Are You Safe. Ella also serves on the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, collaborating with attorneys across Shutts & Bowen’s eight offices to engage in pro bono efforts.

The Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Service Awards recognize Hillsborough County lawyers, law firms and organizations that make significant contributions of pro bono legal services to those who could not otherwise afford them, or to charitable organizations whose primary purpose is to provide non-legal assistance to low- or no-income individuals. Ella was also awarded with “Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Young Lawyer” in 2017.
