Erik Hanson to Present on Changing Construction Contracts for COVID-19 to GCBX

Erik M. Hanson, an attorney in the Sarasota office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, will present “Changing Your Construction Contracts for COVID-19” to the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange via Zoom on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

During the virtual panel presentation, Erik will provide insights on standard AIA contract provisions, terminations/suspension for convenience, delay clauses, claim amounts and recommended revisions in prime contracts and subcontracts for contractors/subcontractors. Erik will be joined by his co-panelist, Ryan Owen (Adams and Reese LLP), and the panel moderator, Dan Harris (Controller, Tandem Construction).

Founded in 1952, the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange (GCBX) is a trade organization representing a broad cross section of the building industry, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and others from affiliated industries. The GCBX advocates for the interests of its building industry members located across Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.
