Erik Szabo to Present on Construction Contracts at the Florida Solar & Storage Summit

Erik Szabo, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, will teach the continuing education course “Fundamentals of Florida Construction Contracts,” during the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association’s (FlaSEIA) 2021 kick-off event, the Florida Solar & Storage Summit.

Also presenting is Orlando partner Kathleen Krak, who will be addressing solar licensing considerations and the evolution of solar licensing relative to other licensure requirements for solar projects with the spectrum ranging from residential to utility scale solar farms.

Presenting the course on June 3, 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Erik will address, among other things, avoiding common contract mistakes, provisions to be included and excluded from contracts, and potential ways to protect yourself when negotiating a contract. The summit will include a lineup of dynamic panel discussions, continuing education courses and an exposition hall. Erik will be joined by industry experts across solar, storage, electric vehicles and electric vehicle infrastructure, with speakers exploring current and future trends across the State of Florida and the Southeast at-large.

Established in 1977, the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association is a non-profit trade association dedicated to protecting and promoting the interests of the solar energy industry in Florida.
