James Terpening to Present During 12th Annual Construction Law in Florida Conference

James Terpening, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, will discuss construction defects during The Seminar Group’s 12th Annual Construction Law in Florida Conference on October 10, 2023.

In his presentation on construction defects, James will discuss stucco and ancillary defects as they apply to Florida’s legal landscape.

Hosted by The Seminar Group, the 12th Annual Construction Law in Florida Conference is a two-day event in Miami, Florida and will cover a variety of key issues, including industry-standard contract forms; insurance products and how they relate to the allocation of risks; administration of contracts and management of issues that arise during the course of a construction project; performance and payment bonds and surety conventions employed when a project sours; and dispute resolution procedures. About James P. Terpening

James P. Terpening III is a partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Construction Litigation Practice Group. James is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Construction Law. James represents owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals in disputes involving, among other things, payment, construction defect, construction lien, insurance coverage, and bond issues. In addition to jury and bench trial experience, James has completed Florida court-appointed arbitrator training and served as an arbitrator in a construction dispute and successfully represented construction clients in arbitrations.
