Fort Lauderdale partner Jamie Wasserman, a member of Shutts & Bowen’s Business Litigation Practice Group, has been elected as Chair-Elect of Leadership Broward’s Executive Committee. Jamie, a Leadership Broward Class XXXVII graduate, previously served as the organization’s General Counsel and has held previous positions on the Board of Directors.

The Leadership Broward Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, is Broward County's premier leadership development training organization with a 42-year history of helping emerging and established leaders to expand their leadership skills, enhance their knowledge of local and state issues, and leverage their individual passions to initiate positive change in the Broward County community.

Its mission, “to develop and inspire individuals to serve our community,” is accomplished through a range of programs starting with its signature Leadership Broward program, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at issues affecting Broward County in the areas of government, education, business, media, transportation, criminal justice, history, environment, culture, arts, recreation, and health and community services. Jamie B. Wasserman is a partner in the Ft. Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Jamie has been recognized as a "Rising Star" in Business Litigation by Florida Super Lawyers and the Daily Business Review. She regularly represents physicians, physician group practices, and licensed healthcare facilities in business and corporate litigation and arbitration matters. She also represents developers, commercial landlords, and lenders in real estate litigation matters and partners or members of legal entities in business disputes. Jamie is also experienced in drafting employment agreements, including non-competition and non-solicitation agreements.
